Winter Warmer

Wendy dress sale

Friday night on Facebook i will be posting an album of Wendy dresses, a mix of prints and sizes from 8-20 they will be on sale for $100 plus $10 postage within Australia, or pick up from the studio.My new labels arrive next week and i thought it`s a great time to have a huge clean out so i don`t have to sew new labels in them all.

Wrap dresses

My wrap dresses are finally made and in the Olive Grove and Shop Handmade Canberra.
I`ve also made a few dogs, at the moment they are only in The Olive Grove .
I`m also just waiting on fabric for the 3/4 sleeve Wendy and i`m making up the plus size sample this week .

Almost there

One more trip to get chairs and the studio should be ready for my first class on Saturday. The studio gets quite dark so i`m going to call the electrician to sort some lighting out next month and more power plugs for the machines. New samples are already being worked on in the studio, there will be photo`s soon. A new skirt , winter Wendy and a Plus size Wendy are on the go.

Textured tunics

    I have finally started on new winter styles and replenishing others. These are 70%wool 30%nylon red/grey chevron print hooded vests i will have the black/grey ones instore tomorrow.

The other week i sampled up the Tuxedo dress , this was also started last year but got held up by a few things. I still have a few changes to make before it will be ready to hit the racks. I`ve decided to make it in a plain black cotton so that it can be worn in summer as is , or for winter layered up with stockings and a long sleeved top underneath.

New wrap dress

I sampled up the wrap dress last year and have finally found someone with the right machine to make them for me. I`m starting with the brown scribble print size 8-18, and will make more up in plain colours Black,Nightshade and Lacquer which are already on order.I`ll post photo`s once they are here.

Back in the studio

Tomorrow i will have the studio open from 10 - 4 with fabric and the sale rack.You will also get to see a sneaky peak at a few of the new winter styles that will be on it`s way in store over the next few weeks.
The photo`s above are of the new linen shift dress with a denim back great worn on it`s own or with a long sleeved top underneath when it gets colder.

Yoda

I started making up the jackets in yoda yesterday. Sorry but i haven`t given it a good press yet and it needs to be worn with a top underneath but i figure you would get the idea. I also have these coming in a dark green and later on navy and red when it arrives.

North Melbourne market

I`m at the North Melbourne market tomorrow . I`ll have plenty of remnant fabric from my dresses, stash bags and soffties. I`ll only have a small rack of dresses as i`m pretty low in stock until i get them all made.

      The last few days i`ve started getting ready for winter,it feels kinda strange considering it`s boiling outside. I`m making jackets out of the Yoda and Moss wool/viscose fabric and the Nina tops are ready for pre order in size 8-22.
